In warm weather you will see plenty of colourful butterflies in the wooded areas. Also to be seen are bees, mayflies and rather nasty looking hornets.

What can be found or at least heard among the cedars in hot weather is the cicadas. They provide you with a wonderful reminder that you are in the Mediterranean as they keen away at full volume.

Naturally there are plenty of the normal flies and mosquitoes.
