There has been another ruling against Ryanair regarding an incident last August when Carolina Martín Gámez and her husband tried to board a flight to Valencia at Málaga airport with their two children aged four and 18 months.
They were told the baby could not board as it did not have a DNI or passport and the airline refused to accept the ‘Libro de Familia’ as a valid document.
The family could not understand why on a national flight they would demand a document that is not obligatory in Spain until 14 years old. The pleading was ignored and the family had to make a 6 hour journey to Valencia by car. The cost of this was another 729.94 €.
Ryanair have been ordered to pay each passenger the cost of their ticket and compensation of 250 €.
