If you are after an older property within a town or village you will generally find that they do not have much outside space.

With the hot weather the Spanish do not have a garden as a priority as they cannot understand why you would want to sit outside. Their main priority is to keep cooler indoors.

Gardens generally tend to be patio areas or roof terraces with a few potted plants however the newer properties (built mainly with foreigners in mind) do have garden areas.

Of course out in the countryside the opposite is true with fincas having a great deal of land around them. Quite often though the more remote you get the less likely you are to have electricity connected and solar panels would be a good buy for these charming properties.
