Here is our quickest route to Barcelona Port from Calais - it is far easier than it looks :D

From Eurotunnel exit at Calais:

  • Head east on A16 toward Exit 43
    Take A26/E15 toward
    Take A3/E15 toward
    Take A3/E15 toward
    Take exit onto Boulevard Peripherique
    Take exit toward A6b/A10/Bordeaux/Nantes/Lyon/Evry
    Merge onto L’Autoroute du Soleil
    Continue onto L’Aquitaine
Take exit onto A10/.E05/E50 toward Orelans/Nantes/Bordeaux/Palaiseau
    Take exit toward Orleans/Nantes/Bordeaux/Chatres/Orsay
Take exit onto A71/E09 toward A20/Toulouse/Clermont-Ferrand/Vierzon/Orleans-Centre
Continue onto A75/E11 (signs for Montpellier/Aurillac/Le Puy)
    Take exit 60 toward A9/Nezignan-l’Eveque/Vias/Agde
    Merge onto D13
At roundabout take 1st exit onto A9/E15/E80 to Beziers
    Continue on A9/E15/E80
    Continue onto AP-7
Continue onto E15/AP-7 signs to Barcelona
Continue onto Autopista Barcelona-Montmelo/C-22 (signs for Barcelona)
    Take exit toward Barcelona Rondes/Ap-2/AP-7/C-32/C-31/N-II
    Merge onto Autopista del Valles
Continue onto Ronda del Litoral/B-10 (signs for Ronda Litoral/Sant Andreau/C-31/Badalona/B-20/C-32/N-ll/Mataro
    Take exit 20
    At roundabout take 2nd exit

Basically you are just travelling in the direction of:

  • Paris
    Clermont Ferrand

This journey takes in total just under 12 hours driving time so don't forget to add any break times that you must have. The French roads are a dream to drive through and the scenery is spectacular.
