I love chorizo. Even better towards the end of the evening after a few drinks. A few slices of chorizo and crusty bread.

Brilliant.

Possible food poisoning from Chorizo? (mushy kind)?
So, I'm moving. Been staying up late doing a lot of packing. Not to mention, I haven't gotten the best sleep lately... My stomach started hurting And the symptoms began to hit me... I listen to my body when it's hungry. (I have reactive hypoglycemia) all my roomies are asleep so I threw something simple together. Corn tortilla, cheese, oregano, garlic, and chorizo. Set the oven to 350. The chor was spread out like butter clumps. I think it was in the toaster oven for 10 mins. But when I ate it, it was still mushy.. I feel a but sick now. (30 mins after eating it)

Should I be worried? What steps should I take to prevent any ill feelings?

Hi there,

I would never eat a mushy chorizo.

However saying that I only ever have Spanish chorizo and it is like a salami. If you are stressed that is likely to be causing you to feel sick.

If I was you I would 'starve' myself for a few hours and just drink water to give my body a chance to get rid of anything that it doesn't want.

Of course if you still don't feel any better then I would suggest visiting your doctor.

Good luck with your move and hope you feel better soon.
