I have been looking out for the ferry timetables again as I always like to book up our ferry and cabin quite early on ensuring that we have one of the few cabins they make available to foreigners.
My haven't the prices gone up again this year!
We always drive down through France and on to Barcelona where we get the ferry across to Palma. This year once again the prices have risen quite considerably. I guess the tax situation has caused the increase and I wonder how busy the ferry will be this year. Last year I noticed that there were quite a few cabins empty, it can only get worse.
We will still drive down though, and a cabin is a necessity at our age
I love the ferry journey and always have a brilliant night's sleep. Nothing like being gently rocked to sleep by the roll of the ship on the waves.
The seven hour journey refreshes you and you awake to arrive at Palma at about 7 am and are bright and ready to take on your holiday and enjoy every minute of it.
Mind you with the new 30 KM speed limit now in Barcelona I wonder how congested the port will be!
