If you search the internet for useful resources that might be helpful to people learning Spanish you will come across the BBC Spanish Website which provides a great selection of interesting tools to help improve your Spanish.

Once you've reached a reasonable level it's well worthwhile reading the news in one of the quality daily newspapers such as El Pais which you can buy in the UK.

Advanced speakers will be interested in the official Castellano Website which is a lively academic site promoting the Spanish language.

If you are lucky enough to have a motorised satellite dish then have a hunt around for a Spanish TV channel and watch it daily. Even if you don't understand all that is being spoken you will start to tune into the language and find that the words that you do know will literally jump out at you. If you can get involved in one of the soaps or sagas like Cuentame then you get to hear everyday language that is spoken in the home. Great fun at Christmas and the New Year too.
